The Foundation
Before directing, I was a sound mixer
Before I ever directed a film, I was a production sound mixer. Spending years listening instead of looking taught me that the strongest stories aren't just seen — they're heard. That foundation continues to shape every project I take on today.
Through my company, Mike With the Mics, we provide full-service audio production — from on-set production sound and dialogue editing to sound design, audio restoration, mixing, and original score. Whether it's capturing a quiet conversation on location or building an emotional soundscape in post, every stage of the process is focused on supporting the story.
Spending years with headphones on before picking up a camera means sound is never an afterthought for us. We treat audio as a first-class creative element — every recording, mix, and master built to broadcast specification, because pharma content lives in environments where audio quality varies wildly.

Why Sound Matters
Sound creates what the camera cannot
When people ask what gives a film that cinematic quality, the answer is almost always the same: great sound. Audiences may forgive an imperfect image, but they'll immediately notice poor audio.
Sound creates emotion, builds tension, establishes place, and often communicates what the camera cannot. It's one of the most powerful storytelling tools we have — and it's why we approach every project with the belief that exceptional audio isn't just a technical necessity, it's an essential part of creating films that people truly connect with.

Where Sound Matters Most
Pharma content that depends on great audio
Patient Testimonials
Intimate, emotional stories that demand pristine audio capture. Background noise, room echo, or level inconsistencies can destroy the authenticity and trust that patient content depends on.
HCP & KOL Interviews
Clinical terminology and complex scientific language require absolute audio clarity. Physicians speaking quickly through data points need every syllable captured and delivered cleanly.
Podcasts & Audio Series
Audio-first content where sound quality is the entire product. Consistent levels, clean edits, professional intros, and music beds that make listeners subscribe and stay.
Live Events & Congresses
Multi-speaker panels, keynote captures, and congress recordings where ambient noise, wireless interference, and varying mic distances make professional sound engineering essential.
